A global leading manufacturing business is looking to recruit for a 1x Materials Planner and 1x Production Planner based in Cwmbran on a fulltime permanent contract.

Key responsibilities for Materials Planner and will not be limited to:
- Define the supply parameters in the Companies Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) tool resulting from the Materials Requirements Plan (MRP)
- Accountable for the supplier ontime performance for your defined commodity / group of suppliers
- Confirm and communicate requirements and changes resulting from the MRP to the supplier by confirming any necessary modifications that are to be made
- Obtain acknowledgement from the supplier for any changes or modifications to requirements
- Negotiate deadlines and quantities with suppliers within the limits of the contract established by purchasing (negotiation of deadlines / quantities, but not pricing)
- Monitor and analyse the impacts of manufacturing defects in terms of yield and if necessary reschedule requirements to ensure commitments can be met, work with the internal scheduler to ensure yield is factored into future planning
- Measure and analyse supplier performance in coordination with the Supplier Performance Matrix (SPM) (where applicable) using the defined metrics and provides the required weekly/monthly reports
- Creating, maintaining and updating the Master Production Schedule and manage top-level demand to ensure MRP requirements are cascaded accordingly through the company ERP system for all identified bottleneck resources
- Ensure the accuracy of the Master Production Schedule, gaining authorisation for leadtime violations
- Provide resource (Manpower, production lines, shifts) requirement plans to the Operations management team and align on load levelling targets
- Facilitate weekly review with crossfunctional stakeholders to check performance to plan and agree reschedule requirements
- Recommend feasible solutions to recover backlog or late supply chain enablement
- Ensure the Master Production Schedule fulfils the customer order book and is aligned to inventory and transport targets
- Provide guidance on priorities to Production Control team
