A brilliant role for a Finance Assistant to join a successful business in the insurance industry, based in Malton.

Alongside a salary of up to £23,000 on offer is 30 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) increasing to 36 days with service, competitive pension scheme, life assurance, flexible working hours and further.

Working with the wider business, key responsibilities for the Finance Assistant will include:

  • Assisting Finance Management and Finance Assistants
  • Payment Processing creditors and refunds
  • Month End processing prepayments and accruals
  • Purchase Ledger duties
  • Balancing Accounts
  • Profit and Loss Statement production
  • Expense Claims and Payroll input
  • Credit Control
To be successful in this Finance Assistant role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An AAT qualification or be working towards one, or have equivalent experience
  • Ability to work autonomously, to own initiative, as well as within a team
  • Working knowledge of accountancy software such as Sage, Quickbooks or Xero would be beneficial, as well as MS packages including Excel


This role would be an excellent position for an Accounts Administrator, Finance Admin, Accounts Assistant, Finance Officer, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity.

Based in Malton, this role is commutable from Scarborough, Pickering, Pocklington, York and surrounding areas, with parking provided. This role is also easily accessible via public transport.
