Supply Chain Assistant - Temporary - £140 per day - 3-6 months.
Leading premium brand are urgently looking to hire an interim Supply Chain Assistant.

You will provide a high standard of customer service to Customers and Departments, receive orders from the Distributors, create purchase orders and sales orders on the systemensuring all internal and intercompany Standard Operating Procedure's (SOPs) are adhered to.

You'll also be required to assist the US and Asia Operations teams with the management of the orders through production phase and communication of changes.

You'll be required to work with Planning, US, and Asia Operations teams to ensure agreed operational processes are adhered to both offshore and in house and provide a high standard of customer service to Distributors.

You'll receive orders from internationaldistributors for system processing.

For and markets a located to you, manage the orders through production phase, manage and maintain the line of communication between distributors, freight forwarders, Asia Operations, Supply Chain Manager and HQ.


The Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring and maintaining a high level of customer service with and markets
  • To facilitate fast, accurate and on time ordering, shipping, and delivery of distributor orders
  • Timely and accurate reporting of production and shipping stages and change
  • Acceptable exfactory PO dates are negotiated, or acceptable alternatives agreed
  • Highlighting factory delays/improvements
  • Ensuring leadtime agreements are met and bettered wherever possible
  • Providing support and absence cover for the Supply Chain Manager and colleagues where necessary
  • Ensuring all parties are conforming to Standard Operating Procedures and highlighting areas for improvement as they a rise
  • Sense checking all aspects of costs and associated invoicing and ensuring they match the current rate card
  • Maintenance of all sales orders and purchase orders
  • Communication of exfactory dates and amendments to customers and updating orders on the ERP system
  • Assisting with movement solutions for ad hoc procurement
  • Helping to implement or improve new methodologies and initiatives as required
  • Following delivery of orders: managing packaging, order and quality feedback and processing claims using SOPs
You, ideally, will have strong system and administration skills developed on modern ERP systems i.e., Navision, SAP etc. A good understanding of general merchandise ordering processes and factory operations and basic understanding of warehouse receiving operationsand processes. A sound knowledge of freight / logistics movements and terms of purchase.
