Our Walsall based electrical manufacturing client is looking for a Technical Manager to join their team on a two-year succession plan with a view to becoming Technical Director.

This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their leadership career within a defined timeline for a highly reputable electrical manufacturing business.

The purpose of the role is to provide leadership for Engineering development and quality assurance across the business to increase growth and market share with quality engineered solutions.


Technical Manager - About the Role:

  • Salary
  • £45,000
  • £50,000
  • Hours 39 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday

Technical Manager - Key tasks Include:
Managing, supporting, and guiding the Engineering and Quality team to carry out the following daily tasks:

  • Quoting custom engineered solutions for both industrial and transport products.
  • Design and development of custom engineered solutions
  • Review, costing and design of all new products in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Providing technical support for the Area Sales Manager regarding customer specific documentation.
  • Support the implementation of all new products into manufacture.
  • Administering the quality management control system and procedures to ensure that the company's products are manufactured to the highest standard whilst conforming o customer specification and international standards.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong experience within Electromechanical design and development.
  • Understanding of electronics and firmware.
  • Understanding of EN609473, EN , and EN standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of transfer switches, Modbus, motorised switches, and power monitoring.
  • Good Understanding of electrical installation requirements and 18th edition of wiring regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Handson, practical attitude to problem solving within projects and process improvements.

  • Monday to Thursday 8am 4:30pm Friday 8am 1pm
