Your future role
We'll look to you for:
- To manage the transport arrangements for all material dispatched from UKDC and selected deliveries from CRO to depots and external customers using milk runs, pallet carriers, parcel carrier and adhoc transport using via Wincanton movements.
- Manage the time and attendance system for UKDC blue collar staff (using Capitata).
- Resolve daily production issues with regards to good in and dispatch.
- Carry out daily picking runs and allocate workload accordingly.
Transport Management
- Ensure the timely dispatch of material via the most costeffective route ie Milk Run, Wincanton for UKDC Material
- Maintain and manage the SharePoint Transport Request System
- Monitor costs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure lowest cost options are always used and that costs are contained with the agreed annual budget and identify areas for potential savings
Purchase Order Management
- Transport
- Transport
- Raise new PO's each year for each transport supplier based on the estimated annual spend covering the Milk Run, Wincanton
- Consumable
- Raise new PO's each year for each supplier based on the estimated annual spend covering fork trucks, PPE, packing materials and other consumable materials
- Raise ebuyer requests to authorize daily / weekly spends as they are incurred
- Resolve any invoice queries and clear and outstanding work cycles and liaise with suppliers and accounts payable on general account management
Part Number Configuration Control
- Create material master views in plant GB0
- Create and maintain serial numbers, set for hard/soft control or batch managed
- Amend and add SLOC's
Daily production
- Work with production staff daily to resolve goods in and dispatch issues.
- Carry out daily picking runs in SAP and allocate the work accordingly by dispatch date.
- Assist the stock adjustments in SAP
Warranty and Returns Material
- Ensure that all warranty and returns material is received, stored and handled in line with company processes and procedures
Time and Attendance Management
- Check weekly clocked hours on Capitata system to ensure hours are correctly reflected in payroll system export weekly to payroll
- Manage blue collar holiday cards and authorize holidays in line with policy set by Warehouse Manager
UKDC Record Keeping
- Manage goods in, dispatch and transport documentation and ensure all required documents are safely archived in line with company policy and procedures
Ad hoc Projects
- Deputize for Warehouse Manager during holiday or other absences
- Support the Warehouse Materials Specialist when required
- Support the warranty and rejections when required
- Support the business with any other issues when required

Education
- 5 GCSE's Grade C and above, including Maths and English.
- Desirably currently holds Counter Balance and Flexi Truck licenses.
- 13 years' experience within a stores environment
- Knowledge of SAP system mandatory
- Ability to liaise with other departments and supplier
- Ability to use IT tools such as Excel, Word and MS Office systems

- Self-motivated with a desire to learn
- Able to work independently
- A strong team player, with effective interpersonal skills.
