  • We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and valuesdriven teammember to work crossfunctionally with our Flood Risk Management and Water, Land and Biodiversity asset management teams for an 18 month assignment opportunity. The role will focus on reviewing assets which have a multifunctional purpose and assets owned by the EA. You will ensure our records are accurate when agreeing urgent and longerterm management actions with the relevant Responsible Officers and local delivery teams.

More specifically, the role will involve the effective interrogation of data and information to identify and catalogue assets and produce risk-based inspection programmes.

This will include, but not limited to public safety assessments, tree safety and bridge inspection programmes. Required maintenance activities will also need to be agreed and programmed. You will manage these programmes of works by engaging with internal colleagues and external contractors and communicating effectively.
The team- You'll work closely with a number of our diverse teams who are dispersed across the East Midlands.

They are responsible for the management of a huge variety of assets which provide an essential service to protect people and the environment.

We construct, maintain and inspect assets and ensure they are safe for our operators and the public. We use robust data to make the best investment decisions to maximise the value of our assets.

  • Experience/skills required
  • Experience in developing and leading delivery of riskbased programmes
  • Project management expertise would be desirable including contract management
  • Knowledge of risk management assessment processes
  • Broad experience of asset management and the delivery of our Asset Management System would be beneficial
  • Has strong data management skills and able to collate, use and record information to make evidencebased decisions
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships and communication is essential
  • An awareness of CDM Regulations would be desirable
  • Can use initiative by utilising networks and data to make effective decisions
  • A driving licence is required as there will be some travel between offices/depots and occasional site visits where public transport is limited. You will be expected to work from the Trentside Office in Nottingham regularly.
