  • Local Nature Recovery Strategies (LNRS) are evidence based, locally led collaborations that will create a network of shared plans that public, private and voluntary sectors can all help to deliver outcomes and achieve environmental objectives. There will be 4 LNRS's in North East Area
This role will be pivotal to helping the Environment Agency in the North East to contribute to the LNRS.
You will coordinate and facilitate delivery groups to ensure that EA interests are fully represented in the LNRS
You will work with the LNRS local lead to facilitate input into each of the LNRS the Area is leading on, by engaging all relevant teams and ensuring that we provide the right evidence and technical knowledge to ensure that we get the right outcomes
More generally, you will support catchment working across the area, helping to restart and run Area outcome focussed groups
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do.

You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident.

This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.

  • This role will sit in the Environment Programme Team, but you will need to work extremely closely with other teams in the area and nationally to deliver this work
The Environment Programme Team work across area and with national teams and work closely with our external partners. We seek to deliver environmental outcomes and improvements through projects and collaboration

  • Experience/skills required
  • Great organisational and people skills are important for this role
You are a good communicator. You can talk to people at different levels who have varying degrees of understanding. You can make technical information understandable and present it in different ways
You have the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers and partners and collaborate effectively
You can work well in a team and appreciate how you fit with the goals of the team and the goals of the Environment Agency corporate strategy
You will be experienced in seeking new ways of working to improve efficiency and achieve outcomes
