Maths & Sciences Homeschooling Tutor needed in Gerrards Cross


Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in someone's life? Do you have a knack for teaching and mentoring? We have an incredible opportunity for you to join our team as a Tutor for a remarkable 12-year-old student who has recently started home-schooling.


Subjects:
Maths & Science
Level: Foundational topics for GCSE (KS3)


About the Role:


We are looking for a fantastic, and highly motivated Maths and Science tutor for a 12 year-old student who has recently started home-schooling.


Programme would include 3hrs for Maths and 3hrs for all Sciences - starting with interesting foundational topics and continuing in the new academic year with GCSE-guided preparation.


The student has struggled with Mental Health in the past, and has ASD, ADHD, Tourette's, and anxiety around being in school, which is why she has chosen to home-school.

The ideal tutor would be someone with a passion for Maths and Sciences, and with experience teaching students with ASD.

Tutor should be understanding of the challenges of being an extremely bright and highly capable student in academic terms, but somewhat behind in her social and emotional skills.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide oneonone tutoring in Maths and Sciences
  • Plan and design engaging lessons tailored to her needs and interests.
  • Create reports on the student, liaising with the family and Head of Homeschooling
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of tutors to ensure holistic support.

Additional Requirements:


  • Flexibility in scheduling and approach to teaching.
  • Passion for fostering a love of learning in the student

Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 4 months


Pay:
From £40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week
