Academic Mentor and Executive Skills Support in Heathfield

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in someone's life? Do you have a knack for teaching and mentoring? We have an incredible opportunity for you to join our team as a Tutor-Type Mentor for a remarkable 19-year-old student who has faced challenges due to a brain injury.

Subjects:
Maths, English and Life Skills

Level:

Primary.

About the Role:

Our student is a resilient individual who requires support at the primary level due to her brain injury. Beyond academics, she seeks guidance in life skills, independent living, basic English and Maths, and budgeting.

As a tutor-type mentor, you'll play a crucial role in empowering her to thrive independently and integrate confidently into her community.

Responsibilities:

Provide oneonone tutoring in basic English and Maths.
Foster life skills development, including independent living and budgeting.
Design engaging lessons tailored to her needs and interests.
Support her integration into the community in a fun and organic manner.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of tutors to ensure holistic support.

Additional Requirements:

Flexibility in scheduling and approach to teaching.
Passion for integrating the student into the world, incorporating her interests such as art.
Ability to attend an educational psychology briefing to better understand the student's needs.
