ERM is seeking a motivated and well-rounded Managing / Principal Consultant to join our Capital Project Delivery team in the UK.

The role is an exciting opportunity to help deliver a range of critical capital projects across numerous geographies for our global clients.

The role can be based from any of our UK offices (Cardiff, Bristol, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen) with flexibility for hybrid/home working.


Responsibilities:

As part of ERM's Capital Project Delivery team, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering, coordinating and managing projects on social performance topics in a range of sectors and for a variety of clients across the globe, working closely with ERM's other technical community globally;
  • Providing technical support to various team members on social performance topics;
  • Leading and contributing to business development activities, through the development of proposals, client presentations, and technical marketing initiatives;
  • Adhering to all ERM and client requirements, specifically those related to H&S and governance;
  • Working with junior consultants to provide guidance in delivery of social performance assessments;
  • Managing and successfully delivering small discrete projects/tasks and /or specific deliverables or phases of work on larger projects; and
  • National and international travels might be required.
  • Strong project management, people management, communication and engagement skills;
  • Excellent report writing, analytical and inter-personal skills;
  • Previous experience within industry, fieldwork and/or consultancy;
  • Understanding of the "S" component of ESGs and Due Diligences;
  • Social impact assessment and management planning;
  • Socio-economic development including social investment, local content;
  • Resettlement and livelihood restoration;
  • IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, UN Guiding Principles and OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises;
  • Experience and interest in stakeholder engagement, consultation and communications;
  • Demonstrable experience working within cross-cultural teams and environments;
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (ideally a Masters degree)
