Head of Quality & Curriculum - £45,000 - FTC 12 Months - Maternity Cover

Hybrid working - 3 days home-based, 2 days office based in Manchester
Are you an experienced Head of Quality or Curriculum Lead? Do you have experience of carrying out internal quality assurance across various standards?


The purpose of this role is to maintain high levels of quality improvement, assurance, teaching and learning and curriculum design across all provisions and to ensure an excellent learner experience.


You will be working alongside the Director of Quality and People to ensure all areas of development from a recent Ofsted inspection are implemented and to ensure everyone is fully prepared for an Ofsted inspection with full integration of the Education InspectionFramework.


Duties will include:

  • Quality assure and verify the ongoing Assessment Process and Practice
  • Ensure the assessment team are trained and supported
  • Advise and support a team of internal verifiers across a range of qualifications
  • Leading quality and compliance meetings
  • Ensure the curriculum meets internal IQA standards and awarding body requirements
  • Liaison with OFSTED when required
  • Provide information, guidance, training, and support to ensure the business is meeting and exceeding Matrix and OFSTED Outstanding standards
  • Support the Director of Quality with the completion of SARs and QIPs and any associated quality assurance requests for subcontracted provision
  • Set and monitor high standards of teaching and learning
  • Set and monitor performance targets
  • Lead on the development and planning of a full staff development programme
  • Be the main point of contact for the arrangement of formal OTLAs
  • Plan the Quality Timetable and ensure all activities are completed
  • Contribute to the planning and development of standardisation days
  • PGCE/Certificate in Education/PTTLS/DTLLS and/or A1/TAQA
  • Management experience
  • Experience in curriculum design and creation
  • Ofsted Experience
