_Responsibilities_ _

1.

_The Roster Manager role is to carry out a variety of rostering activities for staff in an accurate and timely manner.

The rostering activities carried out must be within the scope of the care workers' contracts of employment, company policies and procedures, and contracted hours of support.

_

_The Roster Manager has the responsibility for scheduling the service delivery of our care staff to the individuals we support.

This will be achieved through maintaining rosters within our on-line management system. The Roster Manager will be the key contact for care staff and Team Leaders regarding schedule changes._

3.

_Ensure that all people we support have staff rostered to provide service in accordance with their support agreements and arrangements.

_

4. _Ensure the Care staff have the relevant shifts on their rosters as per their contracted hours._

5. _Rosters to reflect an effective balance between optimising staffing efficiency and maximising as far as possible staff satisfaction._

6. _As far as possible effectively coordinate and cover both planned and unplanned leave of staffing resources._

7. _Ensure staff contracted hours are recorded and met with each 'fortnightly' roster. Any discrepancies in staff contract hours should be reported to the office Manager._

8. _Ensure all Human Resource policies and procedures and legislation are understood and adhered to. Any concerns that could result in non-compliance are to be reported to the Registered Manager or Deputy._

9. _Work as a member of the team and attend regular meetings._

10. _Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with staff, Team Leaders and fellow management colleagues.

Ensure positive and effective working relationships are established between all parties, including advocates and family members of those we support.

_Review data entry of all shifts for accuracy, including shift times and travel, and correct any discrepancies prior to the roster being sent out to service users.

_Maintain up-to-date working schedules by managing planned shift changes and use understanding of the service to identify any potential issues before they occur.

  • Previous experience in a similar coordinator or administrative role preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
