Part-time work available

You are required to be in the office 3 to 4 days a week

Job Purpose:

To provide a confidential and effective administrative, secretarial and project support role to the
(Director/Assistant Director) or such other senior manager within the Directorate/Council as may be
determined.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To provide confidential, personal administrative support to the (Director/Assistant Director) including
answering telephone enquiries, diary management, arrangement of meetings, prioritising and


  • To contribute to the development of effective (Director/Assistant Director) business partnerships, both
internal and external, through establishing good customer relationships and by delivering high quality
support services


  • To support the (Director/Assistant Director) in the co-ordination and direction of corporate and/or
directorate tasks and activities.


  • To induct, develop, co-ordinate and monitor Administration Team/Administrative Officers/Clerical
Officers and Business Administration Modern Apprentices as appropriate) as required.


  • To undertake project work and assist in the preparation of research material and collation of data as
required.


  • To set up and maintain electronic and manual filing systems and procedures to support the
(Director/Assistant Director and Senior Manager) and to ensure data quality and accuracy.


  • To respond to routine telephone & written enquiries on behalf of the directorate as appropriate.
  • To undertake word processing of documents and producing presentations.
  • To attend meetings, take minutes, circulate documents and follow up action as required.

Experience:


  • Providing PA and office management services to a Senior Manager.
  • Working effectively with senior managers, elected Members or equivalent.
  • Developing and managing computerised and manual systems including diary management.
  • Experience of inducting, managing and developing staff
