We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Administrator to join the team at our Chesterfield site, where our filter vessels are designed and built, providing admin, planning and technical support to the engineering team and supporting manufacturing operations.
Main responsibilities:
- Liaising with the sales team on orders and customer requirements.
- Working closely with subcontract manufacturing partners and filter service centres ensuring they have all necessary material requirements.
- Administration of orders, invoices and creation of necessary filter quality documentation packs.
- Working with the engineering team to ensure projects are delivered to spec and on time.
- Assisting with management of resources and production planning.
- Overseeing and maintaining technical documentation and drawings.
- Managing purchasing procedures, liaising with suppliers to ensure quality standards and deadlines are achieved.
- Collaboration and communication with wider team, eg Finance, Site Services, Marketing.
- Managing logistics and transport coordination for both filters and project deliverables.
- Maintaining drawing and engineering specific spreadsheets and databases.
- Preparation of BOMs, quotes and contracts, ensuring appropriate paperwork and certifications are in place.
- Dealing with customer and other external enquiries.
- Promoting and adhering to ISO standards and health & safety requirements.
- Reviewing existing documents and processes and identifying improvements.
- Implementation of any improvement documentation identified.
- General office management and business support.
You will have:
- Experience of working in a fastpaced engineering / manufacturing office environment.
- Exposure to engineering drawings. Solidworks knowledge would be advantageous.
- Experience in production planning would be advantageous.
- General mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and timemanagement skills.
- The ability to communicate well at all levels and to build good working relationships.
