£28,000 to £32,000 DOE


Job Purpose


As the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, you will assist the Accounts Receivable Manager with the daily operation of all Sales Ledger and Credit Control activities.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the proactive chasing of income due, prompt receipt and allocation of payments received across multiple bank accounts, along with the management of cash postings processed via the international channel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Accounts Receivable Manager with the daytoday management of a team of
  • Conducting regular team 11's
  • Proactive chasing of debt, bad debt provisions, overdue reporting
  • Take proactive involvement in improvement of processes
  • Control of Debtor days and Aged Debt ensuring KPI's are met
  • Conduct Credit Checks
  • Supporting with the management of the daily cash receipts for multiple bank accounts globally
  • Effective risk assessing all new Trade Applications
  • Review of setting Credit Limits and managing risk
  • Responsible for the Direct Debit Collection approvals and ensuring they are made in accordance with the necessary controls and authorisations
  • Ensure all monthly statements are created, reviewed, and distributed to customers
  • Resolve queries, identifying root causes, proposing, and implementing the necessary changes to prevent recurring issues
  • Ensuring write offs are processed on a timely basis

Experience / Skills Required

  • Hands on, experienced Team Leader with a strong background in motivating teams, with a passion for customer service
  • Be able to thrive in and contribute to our journey of transformation
  • Able to own an issue until the problem has been resolved
  • Process driven
  • Strong Accounts Receivable experience
  • Experience in dispute management and query resolution
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to problemsolve, multitask and prioritise within a fast paced and changing business environment
  • Attention to detail and strong with numbers
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to manage own workload whilst assisting the team
