    We are collaborating with a cutting-edge art gallery located in London that is in search of a Gallery Manager to lead the team.


    About the Company:

    The art gallery in London is known for its vibrant and diverse collection, showcasing both established and emerging artists.


    Job Title: Gallery Manager


    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain the gallery to ensure smooth operations.
    • Assist with show installations and deinstallations.
    • Organize private views and events at the gallery.
    • Coordinate with external suppliers for exhibitions.
    • Liaise with accountants for financial compliance.
    • Train gallery staff as needed.
    • Develop and nurture relationships with clients, collectors, and artists, attending and assisting at fairs.
    • Manage and update the artwork database, carrying out gallery inventory checks.
    • Support post-sale and fair logistics.
    • Prepare consignment, exclusivity, and loan agreements.

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience in gallery management or coordination is essential for this role.
    • Experience in art logistics and shipping is also a key requirement.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, effective communication, and interpersonal abilities.
    • Capability to handle physical tasks related to exhibition setup.
    • Attention to detail, financial acumen, and a genuine passion for contemporary art and design.
    • Proficiency in Excel and database management.
