Job Type:
Full-time, Permanent Contract - immediate Start Required


Salary:
£13.55/hr


Health plan:
Westfield Health Cash Plan with your entitlement up to £1170 per year and your dependent children entitlement up to £585 per year


Overtime:
Overtime available and paid at 150% - £20.32 an hour


Hours:

We operate 24 hours / 7 days a week so there will be various shift start / finish timings operating on a rotating shift pattern 4 on 4 off, working 11.5 hrs including 45 min break.

Responsibilities:


  • Processing GBS handled Airlines delayed baggage
  • Clear any unclaimed bags of the baggage belts and around the belts frequently throughout the day and bring them to GBS desk.
  • Send baggage delivery order to relevant delivery company
  • Retagging baggage for next available flights, sending relevant forward messages. Or rerouting baggage as per Airline requirement.
  • Entering of information in BRS system, Baggage Reconciliation and World Tracer
  • Prepare relevant manifests and handover to respective handling agents' teams
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager
  • Comply with all UK/Ireland/EU legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements
  • Comply with GBS / Service partners Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Always maintain the highest standards of safety and security
  • Other duties as assigned by Shift Leader, Supervisor or Management.

Requirements:


  • Flexible to work on various days (weekdays, weekends, and public/bank holidays)
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available
  • Physically fit, able to work in a manual handling environment and lift up to 32kg frequently throughout a shift.
  • Able to work as a team in a fast paced environment
  • Computer literate.
  • Good team player and able to work independently
  • Safety driven
  • You will be required to attend mandatory training as set by GBS.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
