Description

You will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team and be supported by the senior speech and language therapist.

The post holder will be responsible for:

To carry out administrative duties as appropriate, which includes organising timetables, data collection; arranging patient's appointments and maintaining general equipment with support from a speech and language therapist.

Under guidance of the Speech and Language Therapist, carry out tasks to support the communication and dysphagia needs of service users.

Under guidance of the Speech and Language Therapist, carry out therapy sessions with individual clients, evaluating session outcomes and discussing these with the therapist on a regular basis.

Providing basic information on good practice regarding communication, to carers or others.

To contribute to the design of training programmes, and to assist in the provision of training with support from a speech and language therapist.

To undertake informal observation assessments under the supervision of a speech and language therapist.

To provide information on therapy sessions to others, with support from a speech and language therapist.
