Edinburgh College of Art is seeking an experienced and highly organised Academic Services Officer with strong inter-personal skills to join the Student and Academic Support Service (SASS).
The Opportunity:
We are a team of around 50 staff operating in a very demanding and dynamic environment where you will be challenged on a daily basis to deliver high quality service to staff and students.
Job Purpose
To play a lead role in the development and operation of SASS working closely with the SASS Head &/or Managers, contributing to planning and implementation of new/enhanced processes, systems and structures.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Experience of supervising staff, training and developing individuals and team building: demonstrable ability to empower and motivate staff, and to facilitate the implementation of lasting, service improvements.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems with an appreciation of possible longer term implications
