CNTW Inpatient Services at West Cumberland Hospital, Yewdale Ward, Whitehaven, Cumbria are looking to recruit a full time Administration Assistant based on the Yewdale Ward Reception, to work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Yewdale Ward is an acute mental health inpatient unit based at West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven. It has 16 beds for adult men and women providing assessment and treatment by a multi disciplinary team


The post holder will work on reception as the first point of contact and will provide admin support to the clinical team and throughout the service as in agreement with the Admin Manager.


This position is:

37.5hours per week

Permanent

Office based - Remote working cannot be considered

The post holder will be supported and trained by experienced administrative staff and work closely with the Ward Manager.


The post holder will report directly to the Administration Manager, but will work closely with the wider administrative team in ensuring the day-to-day deliverables are met.

You will work alongside an experienced Admin Assistant, Admin Officer and Medical Secretaries to learn the role and the post holder should have:
Experience of providing reception duties.


Experience of call handling in a busy environment - It is critical that excellent customer service is delivered in person or over the telephone.

Good organisational skills.

Be able to prioritise a fluctuating workload.

Proven experience of working with Microsoft packages.

A working knowledge of electronic record systems.

Diary management skills.

To meet the mobility requirements for this role as outlined in the job description.


Desirable:
A current driving license and access to a car.


The post holder will work as part of a team of administrators and will work closely with a range of clinical staff from the service.
