Description

As the Packing Supervisor for Vectis Auctions, you will supervise the Packing Department and coordinate the shipping of collectables across the world.

This is a hands-on role, supporting the packing team and working closely with the Warehouse Department.

Speed, accuracy and a high standard of packing are key components required by Vectis to enable us to fulfil our vision to become the UK's largest, premium collectables auction company.


Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the workflow of the Packing Department including; packing stations, manual picking, and shipping.
  • Identify training needs and schedule the sessions for your team.
  • Manage shipping costs and arranging courier transport.
  • Ensure the packing area is kept in a clean, tidy and safe condition, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain stock of packing supplies.
  • Staff management and attendance reporting.
  • Manage and train packing staff.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in conducting team meetings.

Skill Level Requirement

Essential
Experience in working in an ecommerce packing environment

Experience of supervising employees

Excellent customer service skills

Computer literate and competent with Microsoft products


Desirable
Experience of computerised shipping hubs e.g. Parcel Force

Experience of managing packing materials and stock control


Please note this position is initially for a 3 month trial period.

Vectis Auctions are the world's leading Toy and Collectables Auctioneers. It's Head Office is based in Thornaby, Stockton with a regional office in Witney, Oxfordshire. It has recently been the focus of the 10 part TV series entitled 'Scouting for Toys' on the Yesterday Channel.

£22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
