Job Title - Delivery Driver and Warehouse Operative

Job details - Part Time

Salary - £11.50 per hour

Job type - Permanent


The job is ideally suited to someone who can carry out deliveries and pickups, throughout the UK and is comfortable with manual handling and lifting of heavy boxes and cartons.

These pick-ups/drop offs may require an overnight stay, early starts and late finishes. You will need to keep accurate records, fuel purchases, log sheets, writing receipts, etc.


We are looking for a reliable, professional, person who is concerned with customer satisfaction, accuracy and transporting items in a safe, timely manner.

You will pick, load vehicle and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.

You should be willing to work as part of the delivery and warehouse team in order to ensure that the items are complete, accurate, packed correctly, and safely delivered.


When you are not delivering items you will supporting the Warehouse Team with, moving pallets throughout the warehouse and restocking shelving units.


Key Accountabilities

  • Making multidrop deliveries throughout the UK
  • Pick up items from customers' homes
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles
  • Taking goods in, identifying and logging
  • To safely and responsibly transfer vehicles to customers ensuring delivery is on time.
  • Laying out lots for customer viewing
  • Organising stock on shelfs to ensure we maximise warehouse space
  • Ensuring we provide a service to customers that is second to none
  • Representing the company to the general public in a professional and enthusiastic manner
  • Attend occasional trade events which could require overnight stays
  • Any other ad hoc driving/warehousing task

Skillsets Requirements:


Essential
Organised and able to work under pressure

Organised pick up routes in an efficient manner

Be able to work under your own initiative

Hold a full and valid driving license

Excellent customer service skills

IT literate and understanding of Microsoft products


Desirable
Previous Driving/Warehouse experience
