Description

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Manager (EDI)

  • HYBRID 2 DAYS A WEEK IN EITHER LONDON OR BIRMINGHAM, rest from home
  • Salary to £52152


You will co-ordinate and support this organisation on EDI issues including EDI workforce, community data analysis, supporting staff network initiatives, supporting reserve mentoring programme, monitoring adjustments made and advising on protected characteristics.


In addition, you will proactively take EDI to the organisation and engage with Managers and employees on initiatives, seek feedback and promote EDI across the organisation.

You will also produce reports which will be viewed by the senior leadership teamand outside bodies.


Knowledge and experience -

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVE CONSIDERABLE EXPERIENCE AS AN EDI EXPERT WITH A LARGE COMPLEX ORGANISATION. In addition -

  • Knowledge of equality law & best practice approaches
  • Knowledge of best practice consultation methodologies
  • Knowledge of accessible communications and accessibility principles of built and digital environments
  • Understanding of Equality Analysis (Equality Impact Assessment) methodologies and assessments
  • Awareness of diverse communities and inclusive and accessible methods of engagement and consultation Type of experience:
  • Experience of supporting the implementation of EDI policies and initiatives
  • Experience of supporting EDI working groups and
  • Experience of working with external and internal stakeholders at times with competing priorities
