Description

Foundations is seeking individuals who are passionate about making a difference at a national level by improving Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) services.

As a Regional Advisor, you will play a key role in transforming the delivery of DFGs in local authorities across England, enhancing the customer experience of DFG processes, and improving the effectiveness of the Home Improvement Agency (HIA) sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven leadership abilities and a successful track record of delivery.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Advise local commissioners on the integration of the DFG in local Better Care Fund Planning and commissioning priorities.
  • Support Commissioners and Providers of major adaptations programmes by providing exemplars of best practice supported where possible by evidence and blueprints to scale up.
  • Develop the DFG Champions network and nurture new members, including social networking.
  • Build a comprehensive network of contacts and constructive relationships amongst Local Authorities, HIAs and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as the principal Foundations contact for the HIAs and other stakeholders in an agreed geographical area.
  • Promote the work of HIAs and Foundations through participation in conferences and national and regional networking events.
  • Contribute to research and good practice initiatives conducted by Foundations for the benefit of the HIA/DFG sector.
  • Design and deliver training courses to HIAs and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Undertake Quality Mark inspections of HIAs.

Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in delivering Disabled Facilities Grants.
  • Experience of working with publicly funded services.
  • Record of innovation and managing change.
  • Experience of dealing with a wide range of professionals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience of project planning and management, including budgeting.
  • Evidence of successful collaborative working with relevant stakeholders.
