Supply Chain Planner

You will be based at our Head Office in Northampton and oversee accurate stocking levels and set accurate stocking parameters, considering forecast trends and reviewing & raising all forecast movements.
Day to day involvement and leading reviews with our sister company suppliers & third-party Group Company suppliers to ensure service is to the highest standard.
You will champion AVKs strength in Manufacturing and Engineering with a focus on our future resilience and growth.ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Create Weekly and Monthly Reports for various stakeholders; Order Intake vs Forecast Accuracy, Stock Forecasting & Service Performance and month performance vs forecast
- Scrutinise data through Slim4 forecasting tool & work with AVK Group Logistics to present exceptions
- Maintain and improve the Sales Forecast and ensure accuracy
- Lead supplier improvement plans
- Lead meetings with manufacturing teams to ensure all agreed deliverables are on track
- Provide monthly stock waterfall of forward stock projections per vendor
- Report and advise on slow moving inventory
- Maintain a clean and accurate system through management of stocked item cards
- Set up the customer contract lead times, per item, in Microsoft Navision & maintain against changing Service Level Agreements
- Create all new vendor cards and populate
- Champion system accuracy in customer orders vs incoming purchases/stock to confirm that customer order shipment dates are accurate to maintain the highest possible service through the Warehouse Shipment Report. If they are not accurate, advise the Customer Service team of the changes required & record reasons for future learnings
ABOUT YOU:
- Recent and relevant industry experience of working within a Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting, Planning and / or Supply Chain Operations team (RCCP, MRP, CRP, MPS)
- Ability to make decisions quickly based on the available facts
- Competency with an ERP system and reporting
- Organised, structured and able to handle complexity
- Ability to identify trends and work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to get solutions across the supply chain
