At our site in Chesterfield, we are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join us. Our team of HR professionals work closely to support the business strategy.The team prides itself on supporting and driving our employees personal and professional wellbeing to ensure they can maximise their full potential.
You will support and deliver a first-class HR service. You will be responsible for delivering a full generalist service to all employees within the AVK Group.
The successful HR Advisor will be able to build and form strong working relationships across all levels of employees to deliver an effective HR Service.
DUTIES:
- Provide HR support and guidance to all managers in line with UK Legislation and company HR policy and Procedures
- Advise, recommend and support the implementation of policies and procedures in line with employment law recommendations
- Support management in Disciplinaries & Grievance procedures / performance management; support Disciplinaries & Grievance hearings; upskill managers where required
- Manage a suite of highlevel management reporting information; absences, ER, long / short term issues, time & attendance, training and employee development plans and HR metrics
- Support with correspondence relating to offers of employment and contractual changes; maternity, paternity, parental leave, annual leave quotas, process starters & leavers
- Maintain HR electronic data, manual personnel files and data records; ensure all records comply with the GDPR
- Support training needs and opportunities; ensuring all employees receive the appropriate training and are competent to carry out their duties
- Planning, organising and delivering the training and induction at all levels
- Scheduling and delivery of training solutions
- Produce and maintain skills assessments for all roles, identify gaps and implement development solutions to bridge skills gaps
- Develop, manage and maintain a HR system including personal records training management and attendance functionality
- Assist with the onboarding and offboarding process including drafting and administering new stater packs, processing HRrelated documentation and issuing documentation to managers
- Assisting with the leaver process including conducting exit interviews and Company car inspections
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience working in a HR Advisor level role, preferably within manufacturing
- CIPD qualified; minimum level
- Demonstrable employee relations experience
- Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels to include senior stakeholders
- Excellent organisation / time management skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- First class verbal and written communications skills
- Maintain absolute confidentiality and exercise discretion
