Robert Half Financial Services are currently working with a Brokerage firm based in Central London helping them source a Financial Accountant for a 12-month contract.


  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or finalist accountant
  • Desire to learn and grow within a supportive team.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills with knowledge of advanced formula functions
  • Knowledge of an ERP

Rate:
£300 - £350 a day

The Role:


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast growth, dynamic team supporting the international group reporting manager, with their UK reporting.

You will be required to work in the fast-paced environment, with good knowledge of finance operations andthe ability to get involved with all aspects of the day to day activities of the finance department.


The group is going through various transformation initiative which you can support with but your main role will be focused on preparing financial statements, supporting with the budgets and forecast, and adding commentary to these, and the supporting withthe transactional accounting when needed.


As financial accountant, your role will include:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely period end accounting for multiple legal entities, including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations and fixed assets register.
  • Work as part of the team to complete the monthend accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the P&L and Balance Sheet Accounts.
  • Analysing budgets and variances, and providing commentary.
  • Record daily, weekly and monthly cash postings and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare general journal entries in accordance with department policy, including monthly, quarterly and yearly adjustments.
  • Support with ongoing transformation and process improvement projects such as system enhancements, automating journal entries and reconciliations, and leveraging their technology where possible.
  • Assisting with the Treasury team monitoring Daily cash and forecasting cash flow.
