Description

Head of Financial & Statutory Reporting required for a superb group based near Birmingham, West Midlands. This role will see you joining a large, internationally-owned group in a senior role, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.

You'll be managing a large indirect team, and have full oversight of the multi-entity group's monthly reporting, statutory accounting, tax and treasury functions.

As the Head of Financial & Statutory Reporting, you'll be responsible for:

  • Direct line management of the Financial Reporting Manager, Treasury Manager, Transactional Reporting Manager and Tax Manager
  • Ownership of monthly balance sheet reporting and movement analysis, and correcting any arising balance sheet issues
  • Management of the general ledger function for multiple entities
  • Consolidation of monthly financial reporting and management accounting for submission to group board packs
  • Liaison and management of transactional finance heads, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Supporting the commercial finance team with cash flow analysis and working capital forecasts/reforecasts
  • Direct management of the treasury department, responsible for cash flow management, banking and international currency management
  • Working to ensure tax compliance (supported by the Tax Manager), and completing annual VAT returns and payments
  • Supporting the ongoing implementation of a new ERP system
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for yearly external auditors' visit
  • Leading the UK group through year end statutory reporting processes and submission of figures to group
  • Ensuring adherence to IFRS and maintaining strong financial reporting controls throughout the team
  • Working on numerous ongoing projects as required by the CFO and Group Financial Controller
**About you
**You will be a qualified (ACA, CA or ACCA preferred) accountant with experience supporting large groups in a senior financial reporting role. You'll require excellent working knowledge of balance sheet management, group reporting and treasury management.

Tax knowledge is not essential as you will be supported with tax matters, but it would be advantageous to have.

**The package
**We are offering a very impressive package of £75,000 to £95,000 basic salary for this position. You'll also be offered a company car or car allowance, private healthcare, excellent private pension, 20% bonus, life assurance, and 28 days annual leave(plus bank holidays).


You'll need to be able to commute to Birmingham on a hybrid basis - this can be flexible but you'll be averaging three days per week in the office, with the rest working from home.
