    Position overview:

    Ensure safe, continuous and efficient operation of the Lincoln site, by leading the Maintenance Team to deliver effective maintenance services, successful improvement & investment projects, comprehensive facilities management & legal compliance, and to effectively manage the stores area.

    Main responsibilities

    Implement effectively, and comply with, all statutory and company Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.

    Develop, lead and manage the maintenance function to deliver effective solutions which maximise up-time and operating efficiency.

    Develop and implement the Planned Preventative Maintenance system and schedules to enable pro-active maintenance.

    Set budgetary plans, and manage resources within these constraints through effective planning, programming and prioritisation of work, and report as required on these activities.

    Encourage and drive the culture of continuous improvement in cost efficiency, quality, and health and safety while challenging existing practices and adopting industry best practice. Identify and plan capital expenditure budgets and projects to support the long term development and improvement of the plant.

    Manage improvement, refurbishment, installation and overhaul projects with minimum disruption to continuing operations.

    Control and management of all contractors working on site.

    Continually assess the maintenance team's capability, providing development and training opportunities as appropriate.

    Broad knowledge of FM Strategies (Hard and Soft Services) and take overall responsibility for the buildings, services and grounds, and provide advice as required on health, safety and environmental issues.

    Management of all Waste Streams on site including record keeping of hazardous waste inventory and disposal

    Energy Management

    Stock control and management of critical spares on stock

    Site lead for company insurers and loss prevention audits

    Knowledge & Experience:

    Experience in a related engineering environment at a similar level.

    Educated to minimum of NVQ Level 3 and ideally to degree level in an engineering discipline.(Electrical or Mechanical)

    Target orientated and driven

    Ability to manage varied and conflicting priorities

    Excellent financial and commercial awareness.

    Experienced in dealing with suppliers and contractors.

    Proven statistical, analytical and problem solving skills.

    Possesses a 'can do' attitude.

    Excellent communication and negotiation skills

    Proven ability in working within teams and management of projects within tight timescales and budgets.
