Job summary:


We are looking for a talented delivery / outcome focused individual to join the Delivery and Engagement team, as the Senior Delivery Partner reporting to the G7 Head of Departmental Engagement.


Job description:

The Delivery and Engagement team are a welcoming and supportive team and as Senior Delivery Partner you will:

  • Build relationships and work collaboratively with departments to identify risks and issues to delivery as they emerge. Hold departments to account on delivering relocation plans identifying the need for escalation as appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate reporting on department progress (via Quarterly Relocations Tracker / Quarterly Location Survey) and support the implementation of both qualitative and quantitative data capturing.
  • Working with data colleagues, provide support to departments and analyse QRT data returns to understand key risks to delivery and share best practice.
  • Support colleagues with challenging departments and Arms Length Bodies on commitments/relocations from London to the regions and nations.
  • Support delivery of the SCS target by providing a stronger focus on SCS relocations; ensuring departments are fulfilling commitments and providing Delivery Partners with the data to challenge performance and departmental ambitions.
  • Contribute to Ministerial submissions, briefings and bilateral briefings for Director General level meetings, to ensure the department and Places for Growth position is accurately represented.
  • Develop an understanding of the national, local and regional growth strategies, behaviours, capabilities and capacity.
  • Communicating Places for Growth aims and successes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Ministerial submissions and provide clear, concise briefings and bilateral briefings to Ministers, governance boards, and senior officials about the PfG Portfolio.

Essential

  • Successful track record in building effective trustbased relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders over a sustained period in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • An excellent team player who has demonstrable experience of working successfully through collaboration, contributing to the success of other teams and contributing to corporate goals.
  • Demonstrable personal resilience and the ability to remain focused on the bigger picture, responding to challenges in a calm and measured manner
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to provide direction and support to your team.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills, with experience of establishing effective engagement strategies, using different communication methods
  • Proven ability to collate, evaluate and analyse complex information and data, and share findings with impact. Written work should be suitable for advising and making recommendations to senior leaders and Ministers.
  • Be comfortable working in a high pace environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable
Political awareness and an understanding of Ministerial priorities.

A minimum 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace. Although requirements to attend other locations for official business will also count towards this level of attendance.
