Purpose

To support the Head of Underwriting Governance and Controls in the governance and oversight of achieving fair customer outcomes.

The role will directly oversee the complaints department and product oversight, and work closely with underwriters, delegated authority, claims and compliance teams.

Principle Accountabilities.

Product Oversight

Lead and supervising the ongoing implementation of the product oversight and review process, ensuring a consistent approach that meets all regulatory requirements and drives good customer outcomes.
Manage relationships with underwriting teams, delegated authority teams, compliance and external regulators.
Chair the Product Oversight Group, ensuring all reviews are undertaken as required with quality outcomes.
Design and implement product oversight metrics.
Implement regulatory change as required, collaborating with all key stakeholders.

Complaints

Oversee the Complaints team, ensuring that the Complaints Manager and executives are set up for success.
Implement regulatory change as required

Conduct

Lead MS Amlin's approach to Conduct, working collaboratively across all functions to ensure streamlined review, oversight and reporting of all matters relating to conduct.
Chair and attend any relevant conduct related forums or committees as required
Assist with regulatory returns, thematic reviews and conduct related queries.

Experience:

Demonstrable experience and skills in the following areas:

Experience in first line conduct or compliance within the London insurance/reinsurance market
Thorough knowledge od the insurance regulatory landscape
Experience in driving regulatory change across multiple lines of business and territories
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience of working with senior management and board / committees
