We are recruiting for one of Swindon's most prestigious brands, who are on the lookout for a talented commercial Accountant who has experience of Project Accounting
- and in particular the cost/CAPEX side. This role is highly commercial and will involve tracking,resolving and improving project costs across the business, not only assisting with the reporting processes and analysis but also improving data accuracy.


The role's responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly Budget and forecasting all project's cost for reporting.
  • Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including capitalisation rate, and external costs, to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
  • Provide planning and cost controlling support for projects, providing variation reporting, standard costing analysis, trend analysis, etc.
  • Monthly consolidation and monitoring the YTD project spending and revision of full year estimates.
  • Support Group investment committee preparation work
  • With FP&A, support a monthonmonth ratio analysis and profitability analysis to understand income generation from projects involved and support improved managerial decisions.
  • Maintaining a consistent approach to reporting across the portfolio of projects considering capital as well as operational costs.
  • Perform continuous variance analysis on key business metrics to understand trends, risks, and opportunity
  • Provides transparent analysis of expenditure to ensure that projects arrive on final budget
  • Measure differences from baseline budget, forecast final costs, determine, and implement where possible identified corrective actions
