JOB PURPOSE:


To work as part of the Operations team to help achieve the daily Operations plan whilst adhering to procedures, rules and processes set out by production management and other key functions.


To work in a safe and time effective manner in accordance with health and safety standards and ensuring food safety, hygiene and quality standards are achieved at all times.


JOB CONTEXT:


Reporting directly to the Night Shift Manager, working alongside factory colleagues and key disciplines i.e., Operations and Health and Safety Manager.

You will be expected to demonstrate sound communication and organisational skills to achieve the planned operation levels.


JOB DIMENSIONS:

Complete, store / deliver relevant paperwork according to procedure to allow traceability etc.


Procedures:
Working to strict manufacturing, health and safety and technical procedures to ensure standards and safe working is achieved.


Objectives:


To ensure day-to-day production and preparation yields, labour and material variance reporting is up to date.

  • To assist and challenge the information generated by the NAV to verify its accuracy and work closely with other departments to fix any issues in order to ensure the accuracy of reports.
  • Manage time effectively and multitask while working to deadlines.
  • To solve matters in an analytical and constructive manner and maintain excellent communication.

KEY ACTIVITIES:


  • Complete of daily base Slicing and Preparation figures reports.
  • Complete of daily Labour Report for Slicing and Preparation.
  • Complete of P&L Report figures for Slicing and Preparation.
  • Complete of daily Shift report.
  • Challenging site on material usage, yields and labour variances.
  • Work closely with Production and Preparation departments to identify and understand yields material usage impact (costs).
  • Attend meetings and organise own meetings if required.
  • To behave in a safe and appropriate manner at all the times.
  • Adhere to all Company Rules and Policies
  • To maintain high levels of work performance including attendance, timekeeping etc.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance to company policies, procedures, site rules and information and instruction given by your employer.

  • To work in an Environmental and Energy efficient manner and to respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick Environmental and Energy policies and Second Nature principles.

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:


  • Group and site induction.
  • Level 2 H&S awareness.
  • Understanding of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures.
  • Reliability and good timekeeping
  • Great awareness of basic food hygiene/health and safety principles.
  • Ability to communicate, understand and follow instructions.
  • Willingness to learn
