Recruit 2 You are excited to announce our newest vacancy based in Derby We are currently working with a specialist engineering company based in Derby, DE21 that provides expertise in the design, manufacturing, and delivery of composite products, and tooling.

Due to exceptional growth, our client is expanding their manufacturing team - and are hiring Composite Laminators


Currently, our client is looking for Multiple Composite Laminators, with a number of shifts on offer, including - days, nights, 4 on 4 off.


The successful Composite Laminators will have experience in manufacturing composite tooling and components, within the automotive, aerospace or motorsport industry.

The new Composite Laminators should be able to achieve company objectives within tight deadlines and work with minimum supervision.


Key Responsibilities of the successful Composite Laminators:

  • Laminating tooling and components.
  • The seal and release of patterns and moulds.
  • The vacuum bagging of Tooling and components.
  • The loading of Ovens and autoclaves.
  • Template manufacture and kit cutting of components.
  • To achieve delivery targets of our customers while ensuring quality is not compromised.
  • Support the continuing 5S and LEAN Manufacturing activities.

Essential Skills of the successful Composite Laminators:

  • Good Team worker
  • Logical reasoning with a "cando attitude"
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Interpret engineer drawings.
  • Follow laminating manuals.
  • To work with mínimal supervision.

Desired Skills/Experience
of the successful Composite Laminators:

  • At least two years' experience within the composite industry as a laminator.
  • Basic knowledge of the makeup of race cars and road cars.
  • Autoclave operation.

Working Hours Available:


  • Days 7:30am to 4pm (40 Hours)
  • Nights 8pm to 6:30am (40 hours)
  • 4 on 4 off days 6am to 6pm (46 Hours)

Payrate:


  • Days £12 to £1
  • Nights and 4 on 4 off days £15.96 to £18.62

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£12.00-£18.62 per hour
