Salary is £23,500 rising to £24,500 upon successful passing of probation.

The Procurement team is pivotal to both the Sales and Service Delivery areas of Amber and is responsible for negotiating and securing energy contracts ranging from annual spends of £100,000 up to multi-million-pound contracts.

We focus on tailoring bespoke procurement solutions for our clients and partnering them with the right supplier, ensuring exceptional service.


This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the intricacies of the fast-paced energy markets, build successful relationships and is a platform from which you can further develop your skills.

You'll need to be exceptionally organised, detail focussed, have great communication skills and a good understanding of clients' needs to thrive in this role.


What will you be doing?

  • Helping internal teams to smoothly onboard new sites into the current portfolio and systems (and equally offboarding them in the event that the portfolio changes)
  • Working closely with clients to ensure all data provided is as needed to remove the need for rework
  • Managing and advising on the best way to set up new site contracts, including Change of Tenancy (COT)
  • Dealing with onboarding more complex sites and bulk COTs
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistency of client data across the various systems used for Procurement, Trading, Invoice Validation, Industry Operations, amongst others
  • Understanding client concerns and helping to find alternative ways to address challenges, whilst explaining any limitations to your client and capturing this on file
  • Liaising and coordinating with stakeholders in the client organisation, the wider account management team, sales team, delivery teams and third party delivery partners
  • Having the confidence to guide senior staff to follow agreed systems and processes

  • Working experience within the energy sector
  • You have a keen eye for detail, to ensure any data provided is fit for purpose
  • You are highly organised, love getting into the detail and are driven to seeing things through to completion
  • You are comfortable working independently and using your problemsolving skills to overcome obstacles
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels in an organisation
  • You are comfortable using MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams and ideally will be familiar with Salesforce or a similar CRM system
