Techniche are supporting a leading automotive manufacturer to appoint a Lead Engineer (Chassis, Fuel System and Brake piping) for a number of vehicle projects.

This is a 12 month rolling contract basis with a pay rate of £28.61/hr PAYE plus £4.29/hr holiday accrual. Salary equivalent £58,021.
Techniche agency Umbrella rate of £38.11/hour
This is a hybrid role with 3 days site presence at Cranfield.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Brake Piping parts to meet component, system, and vehicle targets to cost, quality and time.
Occasionally develop Fuel System parts & systems to meet component, system, and vehicle targets to cost, quality and time.
Parts included but not limited to, Fuel filler tubes and pipes.
Manage suppliers to meet cost, quality and time
Benchmarking and trend analysis for Nissan vehicles, components and systems.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

Experience of chassis and or Brake piping/fuel system engineering with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
Able to work autonomously, manage suppliers and report status to Nissan management
NX experience
Ability to develop excellent working relationships and effective communication with all stakeholders
