YOUR ROLE

Our Contract Logistics Lead Logistics team based in Ashby de la Zouch have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and improvement focused Logistics Planning & CI Manager.

This crucial role works in partnership with a prestigious client providing best practice solution design, implementation, costing and presentations for projected continuous improvement propositions for both CEVA Logistics and the client.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As the Logistics Planning & CI Manager you will lead and inspire your operational team in executing data driven analysis to identify continuous improvement opportunities, presenting findings to critical stakeholders.

You will activity contribute to continuous improvement cost down initiatives ensuring delivery through project management methods such as project planning, tracking and clear communication strategies.

You will provide direction to the client to ensure critical objectives are reached and in line with company policies and procedures.

You will act as a key point of contact and escalation point for operational issues providing remedial actions and improvements to processes ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

You will manage and direct a diverse team to achieve customer service and operational excellence whilst instilling a continuous improvement, best in class culture to drive the business forward.

You will analyse and oversee business intelligence reports on client shipments and work with Logistics Planning & CI Analysts to undertake regular rate review exercises evaluating prices for client trade lanes with a focus on cost save and operational efficiency across all Air, Ocean, and Ground business lines.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

It goes without saying that you will be a natural communicator able to build internal and external relationships and influence decisions.

You will possess strong analysis skills, be a logical and creative thinker, team player and possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office products able to use various operational systems.

It would be desirable, however not essential if you have proven experience of moving abnormal loads.
