- Carry out vehicle health checks as part of the flow line.
- Carry out PDI and PDC activities meeting client manufacturing specifications and company standards.
- Manage and maintain check sheet activities through systems and portable tablets.
- Collaborate with Garage Support and the Technician Team to promote consistent productivity within the workshop.
- Ensure completion of all mechanical job-related documentation through the system reporting issues found and detailing work completed.
- Detect vehicle defects or symptoms of impending failures reporting issues to the damage team if repairs cannot be conducted.
- Where necessary carry out minor repairs, servicing, and tyre replacements.
- Adhere to company standards ensuring all tools and equipment is clean, safe, and stored, reporting damage or faults to management.
- Comply with health and safety processes and procedures, ensuring working environments are clean and tidy and PPE is worn.
- Carry out other duties as and when required to support the wider operation.

Read on to fully understand what this job requires in terms of skills and experience If you are a good match, make an application.Our XP Auto team based in Chipping Warden offer unique services from fleet management services to global mobility, providing our customer base with bespoke fleet management and logistics services from transportation, company car, vehicle care and event services and we have an exciting opportunity for a meticulous PDC Technician where you will maintain vehicles to specific manufacturing guidelines and ensure all work is completed efficiently and inline with client and organisational requirements.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Director of Technical Services, you will work within the flow workshop alongside a small team where your main areas of responsibility will be:
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you must be able to demonstrate a Level 1 and 2 certifications, in motor vehicle engineering or equivalent. You will have proven vehicle technician experience, ideally within an automotive or workshop environment.
You will be knowledgeable in vehicle and workshop quality standards and have an inquisitive mindset where you will actively problem solver, ensuring operational efficiency. It goes without saying that you will be a natural communicator with a strong attention to detail and a keen interest in the automotive industry.
