Business Development Manager

Road Freight

£60,000 - £70,000

Uncapped Bonus Potential
Do you want to work for a business that tailors a service in logistics, freight, distribution, and warehousing throughout the UK, Europe, and Worldwide?

This position could be home-based or office to suit the right person.


The role is supporting the growth of the business and requires the successful person to have experience in Road Freight.

Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to maximise the business's current business levels by selling our complete range of services to new customers


Daily Duties

  • Contacting prospective customers with the aim of providing a service
  • Management of customer expectations with the aim of maintaining customer engagement
  • Communicating with internal departments including operations
  • Understanding the business and services they provide and updating all knowledge to aid customer experience
  • Provide a clear cost structure to customers through internal systems
  • Using an inhouse CRM system to track all inquiries and keep uptodate records
  • Presenting pipeline reports to management and business upon request
  • Selfgenerate meetings with potential new customers
  • Working on a range of projects throughout the year relating to new services

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in freight forwarding sales.
  • Experience selling multimodal sea and air services desired but not essential.
  • Experience managing customer accounts and increasing revenue.
  • Able to build long lasting relationships.
