As a
Trainee CAD Designer you will be an integral part of our design team, working closely with experienced engineers to develop industrial electrical designs for a range of projects including Air handling units, Ground source heat pumps and data centre cooling.

You will receive comprehensive training and support to enhance your technical skills and knowledge in electrical engineering and design software.

The Role

Collaborate with senior electrical design engineers to understand project requirements, specifications, and design objectives
Assist in the development and preparation of industrial controls design by using technical calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
Utilise industrystandard design software and tools to create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Support the team in reviewing and modifying existing electrical designs based on projectspecific needs and feedback
Selection of components and create bill of materials
Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards throughout the design process.

Qualifications and Skills

Basic electrical knowledge level 2/
Strong technical aptitude and a keen interest in industrial electrical design engineering
Familiarity with electrical design principles, codes, and standards (e.g., IEC, BS, CIBSE, NICEIC)
Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD
Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities to resolve technical challenges
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Openness to learn addition technical skills and tasks that are outside of this scope.

Salary:
£21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
