Description

Tradewind are recruiting a Behavioural Support Assistant to start ASAP.

Responsibilities of the role:

Supporting students in the classroom and ensuring their engagement in learning activities
Encouraging and promoting positive behaviour
Monitoring and reporting student progress and behaviour to the class teacher
Providing support for individual students as needed, including onetoone support
Implementing individual behaviour support plans
Building positive relationships with students and their families
Collaborating with other members of staff to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour support

Desirable skills and experience:

Previous experience in a similar role within a special educational needs setting
A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
A commitment to promoting equality and inclusion.
An understanding of the needs of students with complex learning difficulties and behavioural needs

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

The role is available on a part-time or full-time basis and has the potential to become a permanentposition.

You will need a DBS, professional references and the right to work in the UK to be put forward for the role.
