Description

Responsibilities:

Operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials
Load and unload trucks or containers using a forklift
Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate inventory counts
Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions
Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Assist with other warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or similar environment
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and materials handling procedures
Ability to safely operate a forklift and navigate through narrow aisles and tight spaces
Proficient in using warehouse management systems to track inventory and shipments
Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs and maintenance on the forklift
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with the job
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions accurately

A valid forklift certification will be required for this position.
