    The Spearhead programme is rapidly improving the Royal Navy's capability to detect, localise and track underwater threats.

    Key tasks/Responsibilities:
    The IVVQ Manager will provide leadership of systems integration and assurance activities across a number of agile engineering teams within the Spearhead project; working closely with the SEMs, PDAs and Trials Manager to achieve project milestones and deliverables


    Duties include:
    Drive the delivery of all necessary artefacts for both internal and customer assurance processes for land and sea trials.
    Create and own the schedule for integration and demonstration of multiple solutions.
    Organise and execute key reviews to meet a fast-paced timetable.
    Oversee, plan, monitor and control all test and assurance elements of the project.
    Provide continuity & consistency to the teams between time separated integration activities.
    Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage the scheduling and availability of shared test resources to meet project objectives.
    Report progress of activity during integration and assurance phases for multiple packages of work.
    Provide support to hardware & software teams during subsystem integration activities.
    Share knowledge and experience with colleagues playing an active role in their development.

    About You Systems engineering experience, including knowledge of tools & processesAbility to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers and usersRecord of delivery of IVVQ, ideally within maritime defence sectorAbility to work professionally and constructively within a team environment providing advice and consultancy.

    Good people management skills and the ability to influence and challenge othersSupport to Field Service Teams during ship installation, setting to work & trialsDegree, or equivalent, in engineering or scientific subject or relevant operational experienceDesirableMembership of an appropriate engineering or scientific institutionExperience of the Antisubmarine Warfare (ASW) domainKnowledge of sonar architectures and performanceSecurity Clearance statement Due to the sensitive nature of much of the work, all applicants must be eligible for Security Clearance (SC level minimum)What We Can OfferWe're committed to giving you opportunities to be your best.
