    Primary School Science Teacher

    Overview:
    We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join our primary school in Hertfordshire.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and a passion for inspiring curiosity and scientific thinking in young students.


    Responsibilities:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in Science.
    • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
    • Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (experiments, demonstrations, discussions, etc.) to motivate and stimulate children's abilities.
    • Observe and understand students' behaviour and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse, etc.
    • Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback.
    • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
    • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
    • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
    • Proven experience as a Science Teacher at the primary school level.
    • Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school's policies and procedures.
    • Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills.
    • Well-organized and committed.
    • Creative and energetic.
    • Strong moral values and discipline.
    • Knowledge of CPR.
