The Engineering Council is the UK regulatory body for the engineering profession. We hold the national registers of over 229,000 Engineering Technicians (EngTech), Incorporated Engineers (IEng), Chartered Engineers (CEng) and Information and Communications Technology Technicians (ICT_
Tech_
).


In addition, the Engineering Council sets and maintains the internationally recognised standards of professional competence and ethics that govern the award and retention of these titles.

This ensures that employers, government, and wider society - both in the UK and overseas - can have confidence in the knowledge, experience and commitment of professionally registered engineers and technicians.


We are currently seeking a Committee and Operations Support Administrator to provide committee and administrative support across the Engineering Council's departments.


Key Responsibilities:

Committee Support

  • Provide secretariat support for key EngC meetings (including Committee, Panel and Working Groups) as required, including preparation of agendas and minute taking
  • Provide general administrative support to operations departments including Licensing, Registration, Marcomms and QMS
Office Support

  • Manage Web Enquiries system including reporting and account administration
  • Manage Partner Portal account administration and webpages
  • Maintain both staff and external contact list/address book
  • Liaise with Facilities staff on key items such as post, room bookings and setup
  • Act as office first point of contact for EngC visitors
General duties

  • To comply with H&S procedures
  • Support wider Engineering Council work, including project support and administration, as appropriate
  • Support and actively participate in the organisation's commitment to quality management and compliance with ISO certification requirements
  • Support and actively participate in organisation's compliance with GDPR

Experience and Key Technical Skills:


  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Knowledge of telecoms systems

Qualifications

  • Good general secondary education to GCSE standard.
