- Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
- Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner
- Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
- Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.
- To build and maintain a strong partnership with the transport functions and drivers to ensure regular communication is delivered.
- Driver brief and de-briefing as well as data entry of statistics, customer reports and KPI'S
- Excellent communication skills – you'll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
- Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
- Good administrative skills
- Working knowledge of drivers hours regulations
- Have a positive can-do attitude
- Experience working in a Transport role would be desirable
- Being proactive in identifying and resolving any potential issues before they occur

We are looking for someone like you. We're currently recruiting for Transport Controllers to be based at our customer site in Ilkeston, Derbyshire for our transport operations . You will be working across a Monday – Friday shift pattern.
