Overview:
Activ Camps Ltd. is a friendly and lively company running activity camps and providing wraparound care for children and schools.

The ideal person for this role with us will be confident, good-natured and organised. They will be energetic, enthusiastic and caring. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to balance being assertive with being fun and entertaining. They should have a great awareness of safeguarding and health and safety.

Job purpose:

To ensure the safe and appropriate set up and pack up of activities, delivering these activities in a safe, inclusive, active and fun way to those that attend the after-school club.

Key responsibilities will include the following:

Ensure the safe, appropriate and timely set-up and pack-up of activities on camp in accordance with the operating procedures set out by Activ Camps Ltd.
To lead activities in accordance with the Activity Operating Procedures (AOPs) and to inspire the children at the club to engage in the programme of activities provided,
Support with the storage, organisation and care of all equipment.
Assist with the preparation of food at the club, including clearing away and cleaning of facilities.
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all children at the club.
Be welcoming, communicative and professional at all times with children, parents and carers, teachers and other stakeholders.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Essential Attributes

Hold an Enhanced DBS. If not, we can assist you in completing this.
18 years or older and have the right to work in the UK.
Enthusiastic with high levels of initiative.
Very good interpersonal skills and positive working relationships with colleagues.
Confident in leading and motivating small groups
Enthusiastic, organised, reliable and trustworthy.
Have a fun and approachable manner with children and young people.

Preferable Attributes

At least 1 year experience in childcare or coaching.
Paediatric First Aid 12 hour course.
Hold a Level 1 or 2 Food Safety and Handling certificate.
Coaching or other activity specific qualifications.
Hold a Level 2 Childcare Qualification

Salary:

£10.65 per hour (Years 23 Plus)

£10.30 per hour (Years

Work hours:

15:00 - 18:00 hours (Monday to Thursday with possibility for additional work).

7:30 - 9:00 (One morning a week required)

Contract:
Permanent. Term-time.

Location:
Tooting Primary School, Tooting, London, SW17.

Training requirements:
eLearning modules and an Induction Day.
