Staffing Coordinator - London, United Kingdom - Activ Camps
Description
Activ Camps Ltd is a friendly and lively company running activity camps and after school clubs for children across South London.
We are passionate about providing the highest quality experience for children within our community, recruiting the very best people to care for them throughout their Activ Camps journey.
We are looking for a driven, engaging and highly organised individual to help us recruit, train and deploy our workforce, who has a good level of experience in human resources/staffing and administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and delivery of an ambitious recruitment strategy, including creating and developing relationships with key partners
- Lead in the organisation and delivery of interviews and training days
- Communicate with prospective and existing staff in a clear and timely manner
- Ensure that all staff are recruited in accordance with the company's Safer Recruitment Policy
- Process all necessary background checks to ensure staff suitability, including reference requests and DBS checks
- To track and record staff members' completion of training and required qualifications
- Assist in the deployment of staff; communicating event information, ensuring confirmation of work, monitoring of attendance and helping to fill any last minute gaps
- Assist in the preparation of information required for payroll
- To uphold Activ Camps' policies, procedures and ethos when visiting our camps and clubs, and supporting our staff to do so also.
Personal Specifications
Essential Attributes:
- Previous experience in HR/Staffing and administration
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to form positive relationships with colleagues, employees and the children in our care
- Confident using Google Workspace
- Highly motivated to hit targets, highly organised and proactive
Desirable Attributes:
- Passionate about children and/or sports and outdoor activities
- Experience working within the childcare/activity/adventure industry
Salary:
£26,000 per annum
Contract:
Full Time Contract
Start date:
Monday 15th January 2024
Work hours:
Subject to change based on requirements of role
Holidays:23 days pro-rata plus all public holidays and additional days for Christmas
Location:
Company Office in Brixton, London, with possibility to work from home on occasion
Training requirements:
On the job training and induction.
