local authority in the

Contract:
Until July 2024


Salary:
£30,032 - £35,824


Start Date:
ASAP


Shift Pattern: 37 hours per week /

Monday - Friday / 9am-5pm

HYBRID WORKING AVAILABLE

DUTIES

  • Provide information, guidance, and advice to employees around topics such as mental health and wellbeing.
  • Will provide first line guidance and individual support to students presenting with a wide range of personal difficulties and general wellbeing issues.
  • Will provide triage, assessment, and early intervention to students, including those at risk i.e. presenting with suicidal ideation and plans and will be confident in supporting decision making based on student needs/risk and escalating to more senior colleagues as required.
  • Act as a key contact to an allocated case load of students, providing brief interventions and support to enable them to improve outcomes and build coping strategies as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnership working with local health and wellbeing services, early help/intervention teams and other community partners to ensure timely and effective support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • At least 2 years' experience within a Wellbeing Officer role or equivalent.
  • Ideally have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in supporting people with mental health issues and the ability to work within a multicultural environment, dealing with complex situations.
  • Will provide face to face and online interventions and be involved in the development and delivery of workshops and group information sessions which will assist students to develop skills to manage and maintain their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Experience in planning systems, policies, and procedures around wellbeing.
