Head of Fundraising and Partnerships
London, SE1 (with hybrid working officed-based at least one - two days per week)

Sported is a leading charity supporting the UK's largest network of sport and physical activity groups and we exist to provide the skills, resources and funding needed for them to become sustainable and deliver services to the young people and communities they serve.

Poverty, crime and mental health issues coupled with youth unemployment and COVID-19, have compounded already disadvantaged communities and individuals and widened inequalities.

We support the thousands of community sports groups that seek to remove barriers from young peoples lives to allow them to thrive against the odds.

Were now looking for a Head of Fundraising and Partnerships to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.

25 days holiday in addition to statutory bank holidays (pro rata)

As our Head of Fundraising and Partnerships, you will lead on all aspects of our fundraising activity.

You will increase and diversify our revenue streams, developing a new fundraising strategy focused on growth and supporting us to meet organisational objectives.

Creating programme offers and products, youll ensure they resonate the needs of corporates and the Sported network, providing clarity, impact and scalability for funders.

Youll also establish a pipeline of multi-year funders and seek new business opportunities, developing our existing partnerships and embedding a partnership framework.

To be considered as our Head of Fundraising and Partnerships, you will need:

• A proven track record of securing new business and expanding existing relationships
• Experience of taking corporate relationships from identification through to contract negotiation and renewal
• Knowledge and experience of working across all aspects of income generation (including statutory, trusts, foundations, corporates)
• Strong communication and networking skills
• A good understanding of the role and importance that CSR/social value plays in the marketing strategy of major brands/corporations
• Other organisations may call this role Head of Fundraising, Head of Public Fundraising, Head of Partnerships, Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, Head of Philanthropy & Fundraising Partnerships, or Director of Income Generation.
